Product Spotlight: Columbia Cabinetry

It takes a lot for me to single out one cabinet br out of the 8 different lines I rep.  Last week I had the opportunity to go to Vancouver, home oColumbia 3f Columbia Cabinetry, tour the factory.  REALLY interesting! We walked through the entire plant, watching how each cabinet is hmade to order, all the different processes that take place, viewing the h staining paint applications. Every step was covered, even through wrapping the finished cabinets to putting them on the trChhokar2uck for delivery.

Columbia craftsmen, many with over 20 years of experience in cabinetmaking, work out of the modern, high tech 100,000 sq. ft. plant ideally located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, just a few miles from the U.S. border. Columbia are frameless cabinets, which means they have a couple of more inches storage space than traditiColumbia 2onal framed cabinets. It can be called the ‘Euro’ look; the doors line up one against the other, there is no ‘reveal’ or ‘overlay’ showing. Very chic clean design. But, still, lots of door styles from the traditional to trendy, from modern melamine finishes to classic Shaker-influenced designs.

The factory is made up of a mix of workers, including many women who are excellent at some of the fine detailing that goes into the cabinet design finish. Support for your cabinets, including a lifetime warranty, is provided by a lively, educated team of customer service reps.

Columbia cabinets are versatile, too. They can be used to create not only a lovely, custom kitchen, but for built ins for your living room, den display storage. Their Green Core technology insures no off gassing of volatile products when the cabinets arrive at your home.
